Public Meeting about Desalinization Plant
FlatsWorthy is hosting a public meeting to discuss the potential effects on the health of our bays and the impact to fishing due to the proposed desalinization plants in Ingleside and Harbor Island. Dr. Greg Stunz and Dr. Brad Erisman will provide information to the public and answer questions about the impact of these proposed plants.
Dr. Greg Stunz is the Endowed Chair for Fisheries and Ocean Health, Director of the Center for Sportfish Science and Conservation, and Professor of Marine Biology at Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. Dr. Brad Erisman is the Assistant Professor of Fisheries Ecology at Marine Science Institute, University of Texas at Austin.
The meeting will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the La Palma Event Center, 2955 Hwy 35N, Rockport, Texas. Free parking is available. If you require accessibility assistance, please contact us at info@flatsworthy.com at least 24 hours before the event to make arrangements.
